The number of runners in the Copenhagen Marathon has increased over the last couple of years. This year, more then 13.000 runners set out on the 42.195 kilometres in the streets of Copenhagen. The runners set out at 09.30 am and the first was in at 11.54 am. The sun and excitement of the many spectators made some of the runners forget to drink enough fluids, which led to dehydration.
